Visiting Kainchi Dham
Kainchi Dham, the ashram of Neem Karoli Baba, is about 17–20 km from Nainital (30–60 minutes by road). Go early in the morning: it gets crowded, especially around the 15 June foundation day. That is why the itinerary reaches it first thing on Day 1.
The Jim Corbett jeep safari
- The safari permit and gypsy are not included in the package price; the safari is an optional add-on.
- Permits are issued by the forest department and are subject to availability, so book at least 30 days ahead.
- Some safari zones close in the monsoon.
- Wildlife sightings, tigers included, are never guaranteed.
